A Little About Us
Our Chef
Bardia Ferdowski
Chef Bardia Ferdowski lived in the French Quarter of New Orleans. He got his start washing dishes at the famous Café Du Monde, and then serving up sandwiches in some of the city’s finest po’boy shops. Working his way up the kitchen, Bardia opened the New Orleans Café in 1992. In 2016 he will be bringing his special talents to Taste of New Orleans.
Bardia says “the recipe to our success is made with roux and tomatoes. In ‘Nawlins, your fingerprint is your gumbo. There are a thousand places makin’ it a thousand ways. It took me years to come into my own.”
